Well, the four of us, the Besties and I, survived the six (6) weeks of the Evolutionary Weight Management Program. Together we lost 82 lbs. and counting!!! I must say, it was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. One of the Besties had this to say, “I am down 20 lbs. I have more energy, feel fantastic and I would do this again in a heartbeat.”
So… what is maintenance like? I can honestly say all of us woke up the morning maintenance began with fear and anticipation of “how the heck are we are going to keep this weight we worked so hard at losing – OFF!!!!”
I counseled everyone with strict maintenance guidelines of the changes to the diet: basically, we increase calories, add in complex carbs and fat. The rule of thumb is if you gain 2 lbs. you must adhere to a strict meal plan immediately to remove those gained pounds quickly. We are halfway into the three weeks of maintenance and each day’s experience is different. I receive daily texts from the Besties telling me their scale read each morning… one saying I lost another .5 lbs., another saying I gained 1.5 lbs. Then the next day it changes! So far so good – no one has gained the dreaded 2 lbs.
Equipped with our newfound knowledge of this incredible weight loss program we will enter the lifestyle part of the program in a week. Some of us will continue with a new round of weight loss after waiting the required time as indicated by the program, while others delight in reaching their current weight goal.
It has been fun, encouraging and such a joy to partner together to see the power we have, for together we are strong!
