Start your morning right by creating a wonderful smoothie full of organic fruits and greens. Fruits are the cleansers of the body and greens are the healers. Make sure they are organic.
You will feel rejuvenated with a lot of energy and a proper working digestive system; the authentic way of living well.
Often in our daily busy schedules we are not consuming the number of vitamins and minerals we need. Instead, we are replacing them with fast, processed, and fried foods. Why not start today by changing one meal in your daily diet? Begin the day with a yummy protein or detox drink. Your DIGESTIVE system will thank you dearly.
If you haven’t tried green smoothies yet, you don’t know what you’re missing; give this a try!!
I like to use protein powder in my smoothie each morning. I suggest either a pea base or hemp protein. My personal favorites are Love & Peas by Nature Sunshine or No Whey by Enzyme Formulations.
Here are a few simple recipes:
- 3 handfuls of organic mixed greens
- 1 handful of mixed frozen organic berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries blueberries and more)
- 2 Scoops of Love & Peas or 1 scoop of No Whey
- 8 oz of good quality water, unsweet almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk or coconut water
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- optional, 1/2 banana, mango, pineapple
- Put them all in your blender, and blend till mixed thoroughly
- Bottoms up…YUMMY!
- 1 cup green tea
- 2 cups kale and romaine
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 stalks celery
- 2 medium carrots
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- Fresh or ground ginger
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Dandelion root tea
Put ingredients in the blender in the order listed. Blend on high for one minute and add a little extra water to thin out if desired.
